NIH Modular Grants

Indiana University offers options for budgets for NIH Modular Grants - March 22, 2004

Indiana University now provides another budget option for NIH modular grant applications. In place of a detailed or simplified budget you may answer a group of questions relating to your project. The questions are intended to draw out costing issues which may require prior approval, cost sharing, university commitments and the indirect cost calculation.

Check with your department or school to see if the use of the alternative Budget Information Sheet for NIH Modular applications is acceptable. Projects involving multiple schools or departments may require a detailed budget.

Three Options:

1. Detailed budget

2. Simplified budget (See Important Notice 99-4)

3. Indiana University Budget Information Sheet for NIH Modular Applications

Additional Information

Extensive information about Modular Grants is available on the NIH web site and in the PHS 398 Application Instruction Packet.
