The IACUC Species maintenance document is used to add or modify a list of species. This data serves as reference information that is made available for display and selection in the Species field within the Species/Group page and the Procedures page of the IACUC protocol. Within the IACUC protocol, the investigator selects the species on which the procedures will be performed as part of the research.
