This action allows IACUC Administrators to designate the protocol as expired in the scenario where the expiration date for the protocol has been passed and no renewal request has been received. The IACUC Administrator can use the Expire action as a precursor to the Close action.
The system allows
expired protocols to be renewed.

The protocol status must be in one of the following states "Active", "Active - On hold", "IACUC review not required" , "Administratively withdrawn", "Disapproved", "Suspended", "Deactivated", " Administratively deactivated" , "Terminated" and” Administratively Approved" The submission status can be in any state.
